About Us!

Hello! My name is Jessica and I do childcare from inside my ​home. I have 16+ years experience of baby sitting from ​clients homes and my own home with children ranging ​from the ages of 0 to 11 years old. Most of the parents that ​reach out to me are parents of very young children ​between 0 - 7 years old. My home has lots of toys, sensory ​and helpful tools and toys for tummy time, sitting, standing ​and learning.

For children under 1.3 years old we offer anti-fall head ​pillows as they are learning to walk and stand up, a walking ​brace to help children learn to stand correctly and learn ​balance, as well as hands on one on one guidance for ​walking, standing, posture, rolling and more. For children ​younger than 1 year we have many tummy time mats, play ​huts, swings, and age appropriate toys and activities. For ​children who have already established walking/standing on ​their own we have many toys from ball pits, plushies, ​sensory toys, cars and dolls, and other encouraging toys for ​sounds, learning words, shapes and colors.

What about our home?

All toys, fabrics, blankets and items that the children play with, lay on, sleep in are cleaned each week (Fridays) and as ​needed due to random needs such as sneezing/drooling on toys, spit up/food spit up on clothes/toys/fabrics etc. Each toy is ​also sprayed with a disinfecting spray and wiped down to ensure that no germs or potential illnesses will arise within the ​household and to those we baby sit. Bedding and extra blankets, bibs, towels, mats are cleaned every day and switched out ​for fresh materials the following day.

Our home has several baby gates and bins for toys that go in specific bins (metal toys, small toys, toys that have ​orbies/filling etc for older children to play with out of reach of the younger children so they may not get into them), as well ​as a dresser location and shelving unit that houses age appropriate toys for toddlers and babies. Toys given are always age ​appropriate to the child we care for and maintained correctly. No toy that is broken, damaged, or worn remains in reach ​and is quickly removed/disposed of upon breaking or showing signs of breaking. Wires and outlets are hidden behind ​tables, and large pretend play units so little fingers can not get hurt. Any wire that is visible is for baby swings, rocking units, ​sound machines for nap time and or our monitoring units. Our flooring has carpets, and a large play mat so that if a tumble ​happens the children in our stay will not get hurt upon falling/tumbling/rolling on the tile flooring.

Any and all babysat children remain on our lower floor of our home and is never brought up to our private areas. Our ​staircase is closed off with 2 baby gates (going up and going down) and at the hallway for extra security. We maintain a daily ​login and logout system for the babysat children to easily access the hours watched as well as the days in which they are ​with us.

What should you bring?

When it comes time to bring your children what should you bring?

• 2 Pairs of clothes (1 warm and 1 cold) and 1 outfit for outside play or an outfit you don't mind getting messy (for ​outdoor activities/painting activities etc).
  
• 1 Jacket per the season. (light jacket spring/summer, heavy jacket for fall/winter)
  
• 1 Pair of Socks
  
• Snacks/Food that they eat including formula. (water is provided from my house so you do not need to provide me ​that).
  
• Blanket or Toy that they are connected strongly with for nap time.
  
• Clean bottles, Pacifiers, Teething aids (if you use any).
  
• Supply of Diapers/Wipes for the hours they are with me. (7/10 diapers)
  
• Any medicine, vitamins, that they take regularly or at need due to pain.
  

***Extra clothes can stay in their bins at my house and will be returned at the end of the week or upon needing to be ​cleaned/returned. And unless other wisely expressed items will be given upon pick up to go home each day.

When you need us we are there!

We can be there for you for any need, this means for grocery shopping, parents night out, events, work, interviews, school etc. We ​also offer full or half day or several hour babysitting needs. If you need only 2 hours we are there for you! If you are working from ​5am - 3pm we are there for you! Have a concert you bought tickets for? We are there too! Just be sure that your child has all that ​they need for their stay with us so that they are comfortable!

If for any reason our schedule has something that pops up, such as personal doctor appointments we will let our parents know ​that we will not be able to watch your little one 4 days in advance. This also goes for illnesses/hospital issues etc, we will always let ​you know 20 hours before or the night before (if its a spontaneous issue that arises) so that you are well informed.

If you need a spontaneous need for babysitting, we ask that you give us a 10 - 15 hour notice before hand that you need our ​services. And these can be for anything such as short term babysitting, half day, or full day. For emergency babysitting please try ​to give us at least a 4 hour notice for anything emergency related. We understand sometimes things come up in our day to day ​lives and we are here for you when you need us!

What if my child is sick?

I ask that if your child has a contagious illness that can spread between your family members, to please keep them home until their illness has passed with a 24 hour clearance that they have shown no other symptoms. This is to keep other children that come into the home from getting your child's illness as well as the children who reside within the home on a daily basis. If your child has a fever over 101.5 degrees we ask for them to remain home until their pediatrician/doctor okay's their condition. Teething fevers are expecting in younger children, and if your child is suspected to have a teething fever, please advise me so that we can appropriately moderate their condition and supply any medicine/teething aid they need within their stay.

**If their temperature reaches over 100.8 degrees I will inform the parents to come and get their child so that they may rest at home for the day.

Events, Activities and More!

The children in my care get to have outdoor and indoor fun through the week, we even hold little mini events for reading with life size characters (Bluey and Mickey Mouse), often when weather permits we will walk to the park and have a small outing either playing on the jungle gym or doing mini scavenger hunts, explorations, learning activities and more.

And this is just a small information of what I offer while your child is with me in my home. We do painting activities, hand made precious gifts to take back home to mom/dad and I even offer taking pictures of your children learning during their stay with me or during our little mini-events. IF for any reason there is an activity that you do not want your child to participate in either for their well being, religious aspect, etc - please notify me. Each event we aim to do is always age appropriate and safe in materials and actions that we do with your child. But we understand that not every parent is okay with certain activities or a child may not be able to physically do them. If your child can not participate for any reason considering for their physical health we will try our best to accommodate to their needs.

You can have extended family members register and join the app as well to get any live updates, If you only want to list them as the emergency contact you can list them as a authorized pickup/emergency member to your child, or give them access to be able to see what they do during the time they stay with us.

Prices of our Services?

My prices are 15$ an hour (280$ a week) per child. I am willing to work ​with parents who are not able to meet my normal price ranges or if the ​child is not spending a set schedule with us at random, half day, a few days ​a week etc. For parents who can not afford the 15$ I can offer 12$ an hour. ​If this is is not not a option you can afford please discuss the time frames ​needed and what you can afford to spend. (The prices above are set for ​FULL days Monday through Friday.)
